Joy Home for Children
Joy Home for Children is located in Hyderabad India providing a home for orphaned children. The charity funds their schooling, provides food and health care as well as training and developing their skills to ensure that they are able to become independent in the future. In our bid to help other children, Joy Home for Children has introduced an outreach support project.
Our aim is to provide support for an HIV/Aids Centre which currently cares for 22 children. The centre is funded purely by donations from local communities/organisations and is managed by elderly ladies. The centre is also an old peoples home and accommodates approximately 30 elderly ladies. Living condition are congested and the children sleep on mats on the floor. Most of these children are orphans and have no support or care from extended family members.
There are plans for the existing building to be rebuilt providing these children with their own sleeping area as well as playroom and wash rooms. This would be funded by a local community organisation.
Our outreach project will tend to the most immediate needs. We aim to fulfil the requirements that would help make the lives of these children more comfortable in the short term.
Our 'How to Help' page includes a 'Needs List' showing exactly what is needed at this point in time. Our 'Joy-O-Meter' monitors the funds we receive.
Joy Home for Children does not supply direct funding to the HIV centre. Our outreach role is only to supply the items that are desperately needed directly to them. This is not linked to any fundraising for the orphanage.
Joy Home for Children is a non-profit making profit making organisation; a charity for children with 100% of donations (after bank fees) received spent on the children. There are no UK salaries, no administration costs and no marketing budget. We do not spend donations on TV advertising or magazine ad campaigns. We are in search for corporate sponsorship to cover running expenses. Our website is the only marketing tool which is created in-house for free. We rely on you as a website vistor to let others know about our outreach support project.
